Business Analyst

CINFRACS Inc. is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our team at our headquarters in Hoffman Estates, IL, with potential travel to client locations across the U.S. as needed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning.
- Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer-related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems.
- Work with the users to identify what needs to be accomplished
- Work with the developers and technical architects to define the optimal way to implement technology
- Demonstrate the ability to evaluate processes and procedures and find areas for improvement with enhanced technology
- Document clearly through user stories and other documentation the as-is and to-be states
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure a functional application is delivered
- Demonstrate the ability to establish a rapport with stakeholders to build trust and confidence
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend innovative solutions.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories or specifications.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to align stakeholders and define project scope.
- Analyze data and create reports to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in testing activities including test planning, execution, and defect management.
- Understand and document the business objectives of each project and identify the business needs that the system must meet.
- Analyze and understand the business’s systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement or automation.
- Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users.
- Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
- Conduct data analysis to support business decision making and business process improvement.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are implemented properly.
- Provide training and support to users and write user manuals as needed.
- Document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
Experience & Knowledge:
- This position requires clear communication internally and externally, strong organizational skills, resiliency, and a solution focused mindset!
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical major with minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Business System Analyst
- Strong aptitude in developing rapport and relationships with individuals at a variety of levels
- Soft skills required – strong drive, persistence, consistency, organization, time management, written and verbal communication
- Flexible mindset focused on delivering quality deliverables on tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving capability.
- Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
- Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.
Education:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or Management Information System or Business or related field
Work Location & Physical Requirements:
- This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.
- The physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods.
